Amy Hughes, Project Coordinator with Keep Loup Basin Beautiful is excited to be working on a community garden project in Garfield County. Plans for the garden include reusing feedbunks, tires, lick tubs as planters while providing the community with fresh produce, a family picnic area, and a beautiful butterfly garden. Amy is drawing up several garden plans for approval. Garden location has been set for the Plain Valley District 13 Schoolhouse in Burwell. Community involvement will be integral in making this project a success and Amy would like to encourage community members or garden visitors to make sure and pick up after themselves or pick up trash that they see floating around once the garden is fully developed.
